Vases, boxes, but also tea services made of an extremely thin earthenware known as eggshell porcelain was a speciality developed at the Rozenburg factory. The company exhibited a large collection of products at the Paris World’s Fair of 1900, which is where the vase in Pilsen was acquired.

The complex marking of the products makes it possible to precisely date the models and identify the painters who created the original decorations. The spiders in stretched spiderwebs motif was painted by Roelof Sterke.
